When I started writing Erotica, my interest in pearls increased from meh to need-to-know-everything…or close to everything. Suddenly all those old movies of women wearing pearls took on a whole new meaning in my mind. I went on a hunt to find the perfect pearls for the excerpt below. It wasn’t easy locating an online store that carried a ten-foot rope but I did and they were in the perfect price range for the purposes of my story. Too rich for my blood but that’s why fiction is so much fun.

Lexie’s job as a housekeeper at a five-star hotel doesn’t normally include the unique and risqué form of room service that important hotel guest Mr. Malena has requested, nor the generous tip he’s offered. Lexie can’t resist, and what should have been a one-time thing turns into an introduction into the sensual world of customer satisfaction. She finds much enjoyment in her “work,” but is it worth risking her job?

Once they finished, Mr. Dani said, “Now that we’ve been properly introduced, I have another present for you. Stay right there.”
Lexie didn’t need him to tell her that. Beyond lowering her feet, she was too exhausted to think about moving, let alone do it.
He disappeared down the entry way and returned carrying a small bag, which he set at the foot of the bed. He bent, unzipped it, and then straightened, holding a plastic jar. He unscrewed the cap and pulled out…a rope of pearls?
Of all the things to come out of the jar, Lexie hadn’t been expecting that. She also hadn’t expected them to be dripping. With water? No, it was thicker than that.
“They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I feel pearls more aptly fit that description.” Mr. Dani shrugged. “Or maybe that’s my bias because of a misspent youth jerking off to Donna Reed reruns.”
“TMI,” Mr. Malena said.
“Like you didn’t do it too, not with reruns, but when the show was originally on the air.”
“Yes, but I’m not going around sharing that info.”
“You just did.”
“Just give her the damn pearls already. Cheeky ass.”
Mr. Dani made a kissing motion in Mr. Malena’s direction before turning his attention back to Lexie. He pulled the rope of pearls out and set the jar aside. “Ten feet dipped in lube, for your pleasure.”
“Lube?” Lexie’s eyes widened. She almost asked why, but she knew the answer already. The length of the rope surprised her more than the fact that he planned to put them inside her asshole. Would he insert the whole thing? Could she even take that much?
“Say ah.” Mr. Dani urged her feet farther apart and spread her lower lips with his free hand.
